What is "Compare by"?

When you use the "Compare by" selectors in the Branch dashboard on the analytics, you apply a primary key on the analytics table which selects all the properties for the key you have set in the selector. Please have a look at the below screenshot: 



In the above image, the "Compare by" is set to "Campaign" and the table is displaying all the Campaigns available along with each one its properties. 



What is "Filter by"?

When you use the "Filter by" selectors in the Branch dashboard on the analytics, you apply a restriction to only show the content which matches your filter. Below is an example: 



In the above image, the Filter is set on Campaign with the values "Interstitial Test" and "Branch-Demo". The table only shows those two campaigns and leaves out all the other campaigns.
